Homework for Schools

Hi! I’m Armika and I’m here to persuade schools into doing homework.We all might think that homework isn’t important but it actually is because it reminds us of the work we are doing and it helps us nail our upcoming tests, it also helps with our group talks. Homework is also important because when we go to further schools we will be prepared.Not only does it help students but it also helps the teachers teach, How? You might ask, well when the teacher is teaching her students they will probably know something and now it’s not a struggle for the teacher. It also helps by keeping knowledge in their brain and doesn’t just leave their brain.So in conclusion you should appreciate that you have homework and most importantly you should do your homework.Hi I am Armika and this is my persuasive writing, this piece of writing is based on Homework.

This is a poem about our future wearable arts show. We followed a model to create this poem that is about Winter but we changed it to the show because the wearable arts show is coming and it is making us all nervous and excited at the same time.

Matariki Glow in the dark show

Matariki glow in the dark show poem

The glimmering shine

All of it is so fine

Glow in the dark

It makes everything spark

The Matariki show

It makes me feel the flow

The show blows us away

It also brightens our day

It makes us fear

It makes us all tear

All of us wait 

But there's a surprise that awaits

We all come to see the stars

Way high up with mars

It’s high up in the sky

I’m almost about to cry

We have a big fright

Last week went to a glow in the dark Matariki show most people enjoyed the show. We could write a something about the show I wrote a poem and here it is.

BTS Report

This week we learnt to make reports about one random thing. I chose this band because I already know a lot about them but then I realised I did not know a lot so I researched a lot and found a lot about them.

All about me

In Armika’s house there is here parents and her older sister they all live in Papakura,

Her parents both lived in India but they met up in New Zealand so it was basically an arranged marriage.

She feels safe in New Zealand because New Zealand is a safe country to be in, it’s also not to burning hot not to freezing cold.

Her school is important to her because it teaches at her level and it’s not too challenging like some other schools.

Armika mostly loves everything but she mostly loves all the amazing stuff they have made and the clean environment.

Her interest are to celebrate all Indian celebrations and all and the other new and different celebrations she can celebrate.

This is basically all about me and how I live

Yesterday the whole class was doing a word wall we first had to figure about 6 words thane create a word wall about them

The Fifth Verse

The fifth, who chances to touch the ear,

Said- “E’en the blindest man

Can tell what this resembles most;

Deny the fact who can,

This marvel of an Elephant

Is very like a fan!”

So when all the monitors were gone to rainbows end,
everybody who didn't go in the kahikatea hub did some art,
it 6 blind men touching a part of an elephant,
we worked in pairs for each verse,
but since there was only 11 of us,
3 of us would have to be in a group of 3,
which was Me Mehakpreet and Charlotte,
their were six or even verses and my group did the fifth and sixth verse

If I were flood

If I were a flood

If I were a flood

I would flood all the cities, houses and gardens until they were full with water.

My flood will even be strong enough to even bash through the windows.

Every flaming campfire will extinguish because of me.

But then all of a sudden some light behind me is evaporating me off.

Son shine Ranch Rope swing

This girl is diving into the wind. Well she dove in the wind her heart was beating really fast. In her mind she was screaming out loud. When she was diving into the wind her she felt her hair blowing in the air and she closed her eyes because she was scared that she will fall. After she landed she jumped off she was so dizzy she felt like falling. She said “ I am never going on the rope swing.

Sonshine Ranch

My favourite part at Sonshine ranch, Zip lines. When we were at the zip lines we got a harness to put on, After we put on the safety stuff we got spilt one group goes to the flying fox, which looked scary. The other group goes to rope swing, I was one of the group that had to go to rope swing, we had to put helmets keep ourselves safe when it was my turn I felt like i was gonna fall. But the helper put something that attached to my harness when i looked down i felt like falling. So when i jumped in my mind i was screaming like a banshee, When i was swinging I almost crashed into a branch. After all that i was starting to slow down. So when i stopped I had to hop off and take my helmet off.

Taranaki and Tongariro battle

A long time ago there lived 3 mountains, Taranaki, Tongariro they both were men and the only female was Pihanga. But Taranaki and Tongariro were participating in a deadly fight, they were fighting over Pihangas marriage, Moments later Taranaki was feeling weak of for what Tongariro had done to him. Moments flew past and Tongariro was succeeding the challenge. Moments later Tongariro had won. So Pihanga was Tongariro’s wife. So Taranaki escaped he carved the Wanganui river and he filled the river with his tears.
