Homework for Schools

Hi! I’m Armika and I’m here to persuade schools into doing homework.We all might think that homework isn’t important but it actually is because it reminds us of the work we are doing and it helps us nail our upcoming tests, it also helps with our group talks. Homework is also important because when we go to further schools we will be prepared.Not only does it help students but it also helps the teachers teach, How? You might ask, well when the teacher is teaching her students they will probably know something and now it’s not a struggle for the teacher. Reading Week 3 Term 4

This weeks learning was based on Vocabulary, all the books I read were in a different language so I learnt a lot. I learnt a lot of new words and a new language.

This week was about chariots, ancient chariots and modern chariots. This work was fun and great because the first bit was easy the second bit was just reading and the third bit was just telling people about our reading so this reading was easy.

Maths Week 10 Term 3 2019

This week for maths we had a lot of graphs and we also had to do a big graph at the end but all the information in the graph are made up and not true. We also did a lot of worksheets including graphs.

This is a poem about our future wearable arts show. We followed a model to create this poem that is about Winter but we changed it to the show because the wearable arts show is coming and it is making us all nervous and excited at the same time.

Reading Week 6 Term 3

For reading we had to make a video and research about animals and this was about wearable arts. The animal we did was about the chihuahua. Maths Week 2 Term 3

For our maths this week we measured our court with meter rulers and also big steps once we were finished we figured out the perimeter. Perimeter is when you are adding the sides together and Area is when you are multiplying the sides together.

Maths Week 9 Term 2

For Maths we were doing maths about fractions and turning them into decimals and finding the answer to a fraction word problem.
I learnt how to do fraction word problems, turning decimals, fractions and percentages into each other and also I learnt how to simplify fractions

STEAM Fair project

This Term the senior school in my school were doing a STEAM Fair which where we can make a project about anything but it kind of has to be related to balance because that was our topic for the term Me and my team made a city and a few bridges so the  sphero can go over.
I learnt how to make a bridge which can hold a sphero and I also learnt that it has to pick up speed so it can actually go over the bridge.

Reading Week 8 Term 2

For reading we were learning about Matariki and we took some tests to test our knowledge.
I learnt a lot about Matariki and how they formed.

Reading Term 2 Week 9

For reading we had to read things for our STEAM and we also about MOTAT.
I learnt how STEAM cells work and how levers work and how I can make a lever and I also learnt a lot about the fulcrum

STEAM Project

For this term we are making a project about anything me and my group choose to do a project about spheros.  We are making a city for the sphero and making hills for it to go up and down but when it goes down we have to make sure it does not fall of the ground. Maths Task 1 Term 2 Week 7

For this activity we had to share lollies between different lots of people. I learnt that I had to imagine times is lots of so 3 x 7 is 21 instead 3 lots of 7 is 21.

Maths Problem Task 2

For this activity we had to find the answer to this problem. This problem was really hard but then I learnt that I had to find the little details because I needed to know how old do you need to be when you have to start school and I needed to know what were whole numbers and I needed to know my fractions.

Balance structure

Last week we made balance structures with some materials. We had to make it look impossible for it to win the competition we also learnt to balance things but we had to be very silent to concentrate. We also had to hold it for a long amount of time and hold it still Mehakpreet's Blog

BTS Report

This week we learnt to make reports about one random thing. I chose this band because I already know a lot about them but then I realised I did not know a lot so I researched a lot and found a lot about them.

Balloon Experiment

For this STEAM rotation we had to balance balloons with straws I learnt how to balance balloons with just straws.

Marble Run Challenge

For topic we did the marble run challenge, we had to create a very slow Marble Run. The marble run challenge was super fun when we created all of it but it was also kinda hard when we had to make sure everything was balanced because sometimes things leaned. I also put a link to our photos and our video.

Kea Building the future

So me and Mehakpreet were learning all about some issues in Building the future (the book). We learnt a lot about tsunamis (which was also in the story) and how they build up. Well reading the book I realized some thing I should learn from the book because It has a lot of labels and interesting words.

Maths Week 1 Term 2

My Maths work was really easy. When I was doing my division I was learning to make an easy question difficult When I was learning my speed tests I learnt I had to learn to quickly make an answer. When I was doing my worksheet I learnt that I had to round up number in times.

All about me

In Armika’s house there is here parents and her older sister they all live in Papakura,

Her parents both lived in India but they met up in New Zealand so it was basically an arranged marriage.

She feels safe in New Zealand because New Zealand is a safe country to be in, it’s also not to burning hot not to freezing cold.

Her school is important to her because it teaches at her level and it’s not too challenging like some other schools.

Armika mostly loves everything but she mostly loves all the amazing stuff they have made and the clean environment.

Her interest are to celebrate all Indian celebrations and all and the other new and different celebrations she can celebrate.

My Past

My Past

Armika’s is thankful to be in her old school but it is time she needs to move houses like most people experience in life. Her first year here she felt like she would not make any friends and she was a loner unlike her other school everyone gets to know each other really well, but in this school she knew no one but after a few weeks she actually made a friend she used to always play with her…. Unfortunately  she left the school but she at least has another friend who is still her friend until this day.

Next year at PCS only a few friends and also she came late because she went to a different country. When she first entered the class she saw some people she knew and actually liked and some people she wasn’t comfortable with turns out she actually made a friend she is really smart and really nice They would always hangout. In fact they have almost the same interests

Her year 5 year was really interesting. She had her same teacher but she heard Room 4 and Room 5 were going to be a class together and were room 6, 7 and 8 , she was excited because she thought she was going to be separated from her friend but she isn’t But while the hubs were separated she was really quiet and not talkative. But when the hubs were getting built she was with her friend, even thought when they had to be in their classes so they were split, but in they  end they were together until the end of the year.
